Wurk is a 6-piece funk-fusion group which formed in Madison, WI in 2016. Inspired by Umphrey’s McGee, Snarky Puppy, Lettuce, Phish and many others, their innovative original songs and ambitious interpretations of popular covers offer an impressive blend of jazz fusion, prog rock, jam rock and more, all with the consistent underlying grooves of funk. Frank Laufenberg uses his electric guitar to provide funky rhythms and dense chord structure while filling the role of principal songwriter and vocalist. He leads the charge alongside Daniel Haschke (saxophones/flute) who hypes the crowds by leaping off of the stage and spreading his infectious joy to the dance floor. Max Morkri’s blend of solid grooving and intricate drum chops and Jory Carlin’s powerful bass lines glue the band together. Carl Hipenbecker (trumpet/synth/vocals) and Brandon Jensen (keys/synth) offer a diverse range of skills to make each tune fresh and unique. Most of Wurk’s members grew up in Mount Horeb, WI, just west of Madison; their shared background creates the band’s closeness and ability to communicate complicated ideas musically.

Dana Perry is a powerhouse vocalist and rhythm guitar player, with poignant original songs of an evolutionary folk rock variety. A songwriter/performer/producer making waves in the regional scene, her songs and live performances linger in the spirit for long after they're over. Beside her is one of the hardest working recording and live musicians around, and a favorite in the local Madison music scene. Jenna "The Joanis" provides smooth grooves on multiple live and recording projects. Playing drums, percussion, guitar and bass with some of Madison's favorite bands and artists; her mighty sounds echo throughout the mid-west music scene. Collectively, they've been involved in multiple multi-award winning bands and recordings, and have played countless shows around the area over the last 5 years. Together they are Dana & The Joanis; providing infectious musical mojo to fuel the spirit, and keepin' it regular.

Sunshine and the Night Walkers are a blues, funk and soul seven piece band from St. Paul, Mn that will get you shaking and sweating. Once you get all lathered up they like to hit you with a soul stirring tune that comes from dark, undiscovered places. Most of the band met going to college at McNally Smith College of Music. In summer of 2022 they released their first full length album, Born In The Basement.

So we fund sled hockey equipment, track racing chairs and equipment, hand bikes, summer camp scholarships…pretty much anything recreational and fun (and likely expensive).
