The Old Oaks Duo encompasses the chill-yet-funky acoustic music of singer-songwriter Frank Laufenberg. Their latest album The Day Before Yesterday is a reflection on the past, meant to be understood like a memory that's on the tip of your tongue. Their indie folk originals are paired with covers from artists spanning from Neil Young to Jimi Hendrix to Vulfpeck. Frank's vocals and 12-string guitar interludes are complemented by harmonious saxophone solos and alto flute riffs by Daniel Haschke. They can also be seen playing with Madison’s award-winning funk-fusion band Wurk.
