Introducing: The WURKestra
After 10 years of touring the Midwest as a funk-fusion band, Wurk is preparing its most ambitious project yet as its capstone. In collaboration with the DB Orchestra, a 17-piece big band loaded with trumpets, trombones, and saxophones plus percussion and sousaphone, Wurk will be presenting the WURKestra for a limited run of concerts in the fall.
Daniel is leading the charge, arranging the music and directing the performance alongside DB Orchestra’s maestro Andy Kerber. They will perform just three shows across three Wisconsin cities. Don’t miss your chance to catch this one-of-a-kind experience!
Fri, 10/16 — MADISON, WI — The Barrymore Theatre
Fri 10/23 — MILWAUKEE, WI — The Miramar Theatre
Sat 10/24 — APPLETON, WI — Fox Cities P.A.C.
Music for Every Fan
Daniel plays in a wide variety of projects, so no matter if you like jazz, rock, folk or reggae, there is definitely something there for you!
Wurk
Wurk is a 6-piece funk-fusion group; their innovative original songs and ambitious interpretations of popular covers offer an impressive blend of jazz fusion, prog rock, jam rock and more, all with the consistent underlying grooves of funk.
Old Oaks
Old Oaks sets a chill-yet-funky acoustic vibe perfect for outdoor patios, listening rooms, and cocktail hours. The unique coupling of saxes and alto flute with 12-string guitar, compelling storytelling and rich vocal performance sets Old Oaks apart as a memorable musical experience.
DB Orchestra
Lively, loud, and local, the DB Orchestra combines the nuanced harmonies of a Doo-Wop group, the intensity of a marching band, and the flair of great jazz ensembles of yesteryear. With nearly 20 musicians, they set the stage for an infectiously fun and uniquely electric live performance.
Dub Foundation
Often performing with well over 10 musicians, Dub Foundation is a force of groove and healing vibes. Expect to hear original roots reggae with live dub effects. They are currently collaborating with Jah Boogie (of Natty Nation) and performing their joint album Spiritual Work.
Recording Projects and Guest Appearances
Daniel has lent his talents to several musicians looking to elevate their sound with saxophones and woodwinds. No matter if you’re working on a pop concert or a film score recording, if you have charts written out or want his improvisational touch, Daniel has something to offer to bring your music to life.
