A Madison Time Capsule: Groovin’ for a Good Cause
In 2014, Kirk Stone and Lou Barone founded a band of 10 people with a vision of creating original music along with playing covers to entertain the masses. It wasn't easy, and after many rehearsals and performances, the band created a six-track EP Stone Barone and the MadTones in 2018. But just shortly after the album was recorded, the band dissolved and the fun original music that was created was never released to the public.
Now seven years later, some of the MadTones are reuniting to release the album and have all proceeds go to Primates Incorporated, a sanctuary for retired research monkeys founded by trombonist Amy Kerwin. Join a few original members of the band as they discuss the history of the band and the creation of each song and then they will play each track for you! Visit the ticket link to sign up - https://www.zeffy.com/.../madison-time-capsule-releasing...
The EP is available for sale on Bandcamp! Proceeds will support Primates Incorporated! https://stonebaroneandthemadtones.bandcamp.com/
Music for Every Fan
Daniel plays in a wide variety of projects, so no matter if you like jazz, rock, folk or reggae, there is definitely something there for you!
Wurk
Wurk is a 6-piece funk-fusion group; their innovative original songs and ambitious interpretations of popular covers offer an impressive blend of jazz fusion, prog rock, jam rock and more, all with the consistent underlying grooves of funk.
Old Oaks
Old Oaks sets a chill-yet-funky acoustic vibe perfect for outdoor patios, listening rooms, and cocktail hours. The unique coupling of saxes and alto flute with 12-string guitar, compelling storytelling and rich vocal performance sets Old Oaks apart as a memorable musical experience.
DB Orchestra
Lively, loud, and local, the DB Orchestra combines the nuanced harmonies of a Doo-Wop group, the intensity of a marching band, and the flair of great jazz ensembles of yesteryear. With nearly 20 musicians, they set the stage for an infectiously fun and uniquely electric live performance.
Dub Foundation
Often performing with well over 10 musicians, Dub Foundation is a force of groove and healing vibes. Expect to hear original roots reggae with live dub effects. They are currently collaborating with Jah Boogie (of Natty Nation) and performing their joint album Spiritual Work.
Recording Projects and Guest Appearances
Daniel has lent his talents to several musicians looking to elevate their sound with saxophones and woodwinds. No matter if you’re working on a pop concert or a film score recording, if you have charts written out or want his improvisational touch, Daniel has something to offer to bring your music to life.
